Robert Rauschenberg at the Wilson Museum

Abstract

The Wilson Museum's first multimedia exhibit on Robert Rauschenberg will be held at the end of 2001. Robert Rauschenberg: A 19 Year-old Navy Hospital Corpsman Inspired by "Blue Boy" and "Pinkie" will challenge the general public's tolernce of bewildering contemporary art. Some of Rauschenberg's most famous works will be included in this exhibit, including his signature piece, Combines created in 1954, and one of his most notoriously insouciant works, Bed created in 1955, are expected to draw international attention.
This presentation is part of the development of materials publicizing the exhibition and special presentations at the Museum's website.
