Google, like many search engines, has
a default basic search and an advanced search. Google's
basic interface can search the all the web (default),
images, news groups, or Google's subject directory.
For advanced users, various operators
can be entered directly in the search box to narrow the
search; many users will prefer to go to the Advanced Search
interface. Tips for better searching using Google can be
found at
www.google.com/help/refinesearch.html.
