Reference Services Mission
The mission of Reference Services is
to provide maximum access to information. We provide
instructional services to groups and individuals in an
effort to develop self-directed learning skills. We are
dedicated to creating a positive, service-oriented
environment that is supportive and productive for both
library users and staff.
Reference Service Commitment
Our goal is to respond to your
inquiry according to the following standards:
- In person: You will receive
information on how to use our collections and services
from reference staff who will be available to assist you
during business hours.
- By phone: Staff will be available to
assist you during business hours.
- By mail or fax: You will be sent a
response within seven working days after we receive your
inquiry.
- By email: You will be sent a
response within four working days after we receive your
inquiry.
In-person inquiries take precedence
over telephone or email requests. If we cannot provide a
full response within these time frames, you will receive
confirmation that we received your request, with an
estimate of the delay before we can provide a full
reply.
