- Large print books and magazines.
- Books on Tape (visually impaired patrons can check out five tapes at no charge).
- DVS (Descriptive Video Service) videocassettes with voice-over description.
- Applications for Books Aloud, CA State Talking Book Library, Broadcast Services for the Blind.
- ZoomText Xtra screen magnifier on an Internet PC
- IBM Home Page Reader on an Internet PC
- Aladdin closed-circuit TV magnifier (magnifies print 25x)
- Hand-held magnifiers
- Product catalogs for people with disabilities.
- Information clearinghouse about independent living.
Programs and Services
- A free van to and from the library operates on the 1st Saturday of each month. The library's Saturday Series program is also scheduled at 11AM on this day.
- Outreach volunteers deliver books to Menlo Park residents who are homebound or in convalescent hospitals.
- To make your library visits easier, staff can help you locate materials and carry them to the van. If you can't come in very often, we can extend the loan periods on your books.
