Acterra Environmental Library and Resource Center

I. Library Vision

It is the Library's intention to:

• Provide organized access to information on environmental issues of concern to a community of users, which includes public officials, ordinary citizens, teachers and students, businesses and other environmental organizations.
• Provide a mechanism that facilitates sharing of environmental information.

II. Library Mission

The mission of the Acterra Library is to serve as a cornerstone of environmental concern, activism, stewardship and enjoyment by providing organized access to environmental information and by facilitating the sharing of that information.

III.  Library Goals

To provide:

• Diverse and timely acquisitions  (books, periodicals and videos)
• Public access to the Internet
• An environmental "hot line" service via the telephone and the Internet
• An in-depth web page offering the hot line and our resource sheets as well as links to other terrific environmental resources
• Sufficient staffing to allow for excellent and efficient service to our patrons
• Dissemination of environmental information to a broader audience than just those people who seek our services
